We offer dedicated fitness classes for all ability levels. With 25+ classes available, you are sure to find the perfect class for you. Our leisure centre runs multiple classes running across different time slots, so you can tailor your class to your personal schedule.

All Abilities

High Intensity

14 – 16 year olds – adult needed and can attend Zumba + Pilates + Yogalates

NOT able to attend weight bearing classes or indoor cycling

16 years olds – Can attend any class + no adult needed

Aqua Deep

Aerobic exercises in deep water using noodles and hand buoys for a fantastic all over body workout. You will tone & improve your cardiovascular fitness all at the same time, in a fun & friendly class. Suitable for all ages & abilities.

 

Aqua HIIT

Aqua aerobics is an ideal class for weight loss as the cardiovascular exercises combined with the added benefit of water resistance will give a full-body workout whilst burning calories. This class is in shallow water and will be great fun for all abilities.e.

Body Blast

This full body, circuit-style workout combines anaerobic and muscular conditioning using a wide variety of exercises to increase strength, power, agility, and speed.

Circuits

Circuit training is a form of body conditioning that involves endurance training, resistance training, high-intensity aerobics, and exercises performed in a circuit, similar to High-intensity interval training. It targets strength building and muscular endurance. Suitable for all as you can work to your own level,

GroovX Box

GroovX Box combines boxing moves with dance to give you a dynamic and effective workout that is enjoyable and fun. Release your tension and take your stress away with punching, kicking and moving all to a steady beat.

GroovX Flow

GroovX Flow is a slow, movement – based workout that incorporates contemporary functional movements focusing on mobility, strength and balance. Set to relaxing music, this low – intensity workout will get you in the flow!

GroovX Gold

Designed for the active older adult or anyone who would like a gentler paced workout. Using low – intensity moves, GroovX Gold will get you moving and grooving!

GroovX Sculpt

GroovX Sculpt is a full body workout using light weights to create resistance whilst performing movements to help strengthen and tone.

HIITSTEP

The ultimate step workout! Hiitstep is a high intensity interval training class incorporating the use of a step, combining cardio and strength training into one high energy full body workout. Suitable for all fitness levels as adaptions always offered for all exercises.

Insanity

Insanity is to offer participants the opportunity to a challenging class with heart-thumping, well-timed music. A high intensity group workout alternating between maximum intensity exercises and short periods of rest, to completely transform your body – whether you’re a fitness enthusiast looking to push past your limits or a beginner just trying to get into shape.

Indoor Cycling

Cardio class incorporating resistance and RPM. Changing each week either flat roads and sprints, hill climbs and interval and Fartlek training for improving cardiovascular fitness.

Legs, Bums, Tums (LBT)

A top to toe class that will sculpt & tone the whole body in a variety of formats and using lots of different equipment – a great fun all round class!!

Mini Hour of Power

The warm- up and cardio/weight elements of the HOP (Hour of Power) class- a fab workout in just 45 minutes!

Nordic Walking

Nordic Walking is an enhanced walking technique that uses special designed poles to work your upper body, lengthening your stride, improving stamina and walking balance.  (It is based on the cross-country skiing technique), giving you a highly effective all over walking workout that doesn’t feel like one!

This is an all year round outside activity; please wear appropriate clothing and footwear (trainers or walking shoes)

Pilates

Mat based class designed to strengthen the core, correct posture and improve balance.  No experience is needed as options are given for beginners through to experienced participants.  Exercises are used to challenge abdominals, pelvic floor, glutes, hips and the whole of the back whilst improving flexibility and breathing efficiency.  The class is perfect to leave you feeling relaxed, toned, stretched and with a great sense of wellbeing.  Equipment needed: mat, optional hand weights and resistance band. We also offer beginners and intermediate classes.

PIYO

Set to music this dynamic energetic class combines the strengthening benefits of Pilates with the flexibility enhancing effects of yoga to provide a full body workout.

P90X

A total Body cardio and strength training class that uses body weight and dumbbells to build a strong fit body targeting balance core strength & athletic ability.

Rebounding

A fun high intensity but low impact cardiovascular workout, performed on the rebounder (mini trampoline!). There will be a mixture of familiar aerobic moves with sport specific conditioning moves, alongside strength & conditioning & core exercises all performed to high- energy music. Bounce & smile (laugh!!) your way into a fitter you!!

Stretch and Tone

A calm and relaxing class that uses gentle toning exercises to warm through all the muscle groups followed by a combination of dynamic and deep stretching. A great class for those who exercise regularly or for anyone who simply wants to feel refreshed and ready for their day ahead.

TRX

TRX – A form of Suspension training using body weights exercises for developing strength, flexibility, balance and core stability simultaneously. In class you will be using a TRX band that leverages gravity and your body weight to complete exercises.

Yoga

Yoga is an ancient form of exercise that focuses on strength, flexibility and breathing to boost physical and mental wellbeing. The main components of yoga are postures (a series of movements designed to increase strength and flexibility) and breathing. There’s evidence that regular yoga practice is beneficial for people with high blood pressure, heart disease, aches and pains – including lower back pain – depression and stress.

Zumba

Dance based class incorporating many different rhythms and dance types from all around the world and through the eras, salsa, cha cha, jive, Charleston just to mention a few.  A great fun class for all abilities with no experience needed, you choose whether to keep the class lower impact or really take the energy up.  No matter what this class is designed to let you find the dancer within that’s dying to get out and let you leave with a big smile on your face every time.  No equipment is needed just a sense of humour and big smile.

Zumba is an interval workout. The classes move between high- and low-intensity dance moves designed to get your heart rate up and boost cardio endurance.

Zumba Outdoors

Happiness comes in the form of Zumba outdoors. A 1 hour full-body workout ’al fresco’ to all the fab Latin & international beats – brought to you by the Zumba programme.

Box Fit

A boxing interval class that works boxing moves to timed intervals working a pace that suits you, this class gives you a full body workout by combining upper body, lower body and core exercises, a great way to punch and kick away your stresses!

Dance and Tone

A fun and easy to follow dance based warm up, followed by a top to toe tone. A variety of equipment will be used from bands to weights for a great workout!

Hour of Power – Cycle & HOP

Cycle & Hour of Power, 20 minutes indoor cycling for a CV workout targeting the legs, followed by 20 minutes of HOP (Hour Of Power) based exercises for a CV workout targeting the arms!

GroovX Blast

HIIT style workout aimed at all levels as separate low-intensity and high-intensity workouts are provided.

PIYO Stretch

Piyo Stretch – With PiYo being faced paced, I got a perfect total-body stretch and my heart rate up at the same time without having to hold a stretch for a long time. It’s a type of stretch where you still get the benefits of gaining flexibility.

Power Step

Power Step is a high intensity class working on the step – great for CV fitness and great for toning! 

Yogalates

Yogalates combines the core strength focus of Pilates with the flow and mindfulness of yoga. A low impact class that improves posture, balance, and overall body tone through controlled movement, breathwork and stretching. Suitable for all fitness levels to develop strength, increase flexibility and reduce stress.  

Zumba Gold

Active older adults who are looking for a modified Zumba class that recreates the original moves you love at a lower intensity. The design of the class introduces easy-to-follow Zumba choreography that focuses on balance, range of motion and coordination. Come ready to sweat and prepare to leave empowered and feeling strong.
Class focuses on all elements of fitness: cardiovascular, muscular conditioning, flexibility and balance!
